Take the Tokaido Shinkansen Line to Shizuoka Station (one hour from Tokyo and two hours from Osaka). Transfer to the Tokaido Line, ride 3 minutes, and get off at Higashi-Shizuoka Station. JAPAN RAIL PASS
To travel by rail around Japan, we suggest you use the Japan Rail Pass.
It is available to all foreign tourists visiting Japan and allows unlimited travel on any train operated by Japan Rail during your stay (including the Shinkansen which links most major cities in Japan, though some restrictions do apply).
